City Staff Present – John Salomone, City Manager; Tom Leone, Corporation Counsel; Debra McCormick, City Clerk; Beatrice O’Hora, Comptroller; Lisa Green, Assistant Comptroller; Police Chief Gary Giannotta, Fire Chief Mike Quill.

Budget Work Session – Revenue and Public Safety
Revenue
City Manager John Salomone began the discussion with Revenue. Council and the City Manager reviewed and discussed property taxes, fees, various department incomes among other issues related to revenue. Downtown parking was discussed as a possible area for change.
Public Safety
Council and the City Manager discussed the Fire Department budget first then moved on to the Police Department.
Mayor Lattimore asked the City Clerk to read a letter from NYS Comptroller Alan Hevesi to the City Manager regarding the pension bill.
John Plume, Superintendent of the Auburn Enlarged City School District and Mike Stearns School Board President spoke to Council regarding the School Resource Officer Program. Council, Chief Giannotta, and the City Manager discussed funding for the SRO program.
